Downtown Franklin-Visit The Franklin Factory-Home of Five Daughters Bakery (the 100 layer donut), Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream (Brown butter almond brittle!), Edley’s BBQ, Mojo’s (the original puffy taco and Mexican street corn!) Lots of eating options, see website.
Downtown Franklin-Walk around The Park at Harlinsdale Farm- Home of The Pilgrimage Music Festival, and champion Tennessee Walking Horse, ‘Midnight Sun.’ You can walk down to the Harpeth River if you follow the kayak/canoe signs.

Downtown Franklin-Head to the quaint downtown Franklin on Main Street where you can walk, shop and eat. Lots of choices!
Downtown Franklin-For some Civil War History, visit the Canton Plantation, just minutes from downtown Franklin. If you don’t want to do the mansion tour, you can still walk into the book store and walk through the cemetery, which is the largest private Civil War cemetery in the United States.
From downtown Franklin, take a scenic drive out to Leiper’s Fork, walk around this bustling little hamlet, grab a beer and a snack at Fox and Locke, or make a reservation at Leiper’s Fork Distillery to take their tour and do some whiskey tasting.

Marriott Springhill Suites/Cool Springs/Franklin
Lots of walkable places right outside the door! Just Love Coffee, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream (Brown butter almond brittle!), Vintage Vine, North Italia, Condado Mexican Food, Shake Shack are all right there. Across the street is Whole Foods, and Brick Tops, which is a solid restaurant. First Watch for breakfast, it’s fantastic and is also super close by, about 1/2 mile.

Nashville Area-It’s hard to know where to begin, but obviously a walk up and down Lower Broadway, people watching on the street and in the Honky Tonks for starters! If you are on Lower Broadway, the best restaurants are likely in the food court and Fifth and Broadway. Southern Steak and Oyster and Merchants are also good choices when on Lower Broadway.

There are so many amazing restaurants in Nashville it’s impossible to name them. Roof top happy hour cocktails are fun. The Westin has a good one, and so does The Bobby. There is the Johnny Cash Museum which fans really enjoy, and The Listening Room Cafe introduces you to the songwriter scene in Nashville. They have mid-day shows too.
